Christmas Cookies and Cream Pie

This holiday variation of a traditional dessert makes for a fun and easy finale to any meal that your children and all adults with a sweet tooth will adore. This recipe is simple enough for even very young children to help make, and older children can make it all by themselves. Any leftover pie should be stored in the freezer.

Ingredients

8 ounces - defrosted whipped topping
1 cup - coarsely chopped chocolate sandwich cookies
1 cup - coarsely chopped white chocolate covered sandwich cookies
1 cup - red and green coated chocolate candies
1 - chocolate cookie crumb pie crust
- Additional whole cookies and candy for garnish, if desired

Instructions

In a large bowl mix together the whipped cream and chopped cookies until well mixed. Fold in the candies and spoon the mixture into the pie crust, heaping the mixture in the center. Smooth with a spatula. Garnish with additional cookies and candies if desired. Freeze for four hours. Slice and serve frozen.

Tips

This pie can be made weeks ahead of time. Freeze uncovered until firm, then tightly cover.
