Tuna with Lemon Dill Butter

Elegant and quick to prepare, these simply cooked tuna steaks are lightly dressed with a dill and lemon scented butter for a wonderful holiday dinner entree. Serve with rice or potatoes and simply prepared vegetables for an easy dinner.

Ingredients

6 tablespoons - softened butter
1 tablespoon - minced fresh dill
1 teaspoon - lemon juice
6 - 1 inch thick tuna steaks
3/4 teaspoon - salt
3/4 teaspoon - freshly ground black pepper
3 tablespoons - olive oil

Instructions

Combine the butter, dill, and lemon juice in a small bowl and set aside. Sprinkle the tuna with the salt and pepper. Cook the tuna in the oil over medium heat for about 5 minutes on each side, or until thoroughly cooked to taste. Serve with about a tablespoon of the lemon dill butter on each tuna steak.
