Top Tips for Hosting a Holiday Brunch for the Kiddos

Creating a Brunch just for the kids can be easy for you and exciting for them.

Expecting a large group of kids for Christmas? Give them the opportunity to bond in semi-freedom by whipping up a whimsical Christmas brunch just for them. It can be easy for you and exciting for them. Make the kiddie table the hot ticket for the day, filled with fun, festive food and crafts to keep them occupied even after they eat.

Here are our tips for creating a memorable holiday brunch that kids will go crazy for.

Decorate with Paper

Ditch the formal tablecloth for the kiddie table and lay a paper cloth down for them to draw on. Provide each kid with their own little box of crayons and let them go to town. You can even print out a stocking illustration for each child to color in while brunch is being made.

Make Fun Food!

Sure kids can eat bacon and eggs just like the grown ups, but a pancake shaped like a penguin or strawberries dressed up like Santa sure will bring a smile to their faces. Jenn, from Clean & Scentsible, has a plethora of recipe ideas we love and your kids will too.

Serve Punch

The kiddos will feel all grown up if they have their very own punch bowl to serve themselves from. There are so many great non-alcoholic punch recipes out there to choose from but we love this Sparkling Cranberry Punch. If you want to make it pop, add a cranberry ice ring.

Build Gingerbread Houses

Need something to keep the kids busy after brunch? Order some gingerbread house kits for each child to decorate and see how their ginger dream house comes to life. We are also fans of the Oreo Chocolate Cookie House Kit as well as this hip Holiday Camper kit.
