Story

Amelia Earhart is so much more than her final flight. She was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, and the first person EVER to fly solo from Hawaii to the U.S. mainland. Did you know that she was the first woman to ever receive the honor of the Distinguished Flying Cross from Congress? Though her life was short, she accomplished so much that paved the way for women forever.

We often remember her as the pilot lost, but she is an inspiration to all to face your fears and do something courageous. The quote on the back of her Collector’s Card is my favorite - “Women, like men, should try to do the impossible. And when they fail, their failure should be a challenge to others.” Doing courageous things is scary due to the possibility of failure. But failure shouldn’t be scary, it should be a way for us to learn. That way, the next time we do it, we’ll know what not to do and which actions to repeat for success. Plus, you never know who you’ll inspire in the meantime.

Whatever it is you’ve had your eye on accomplishing, don’t allow the fear of failure to delay you. In fact, use the fear of failure to drive you. The best way to face your fears is to face them head-on. Pave the way, my friend, and let this ZOX remind you that we’re rooting you on.
