Christmas M&M Cookie Recipe

Ingredients

• ¼ cup shortening

• ¾ cup unsalted butter

• ¾ cup light brown sugar, packed

• ½ cup granulated sugar

• 1 egg

• 1 tsp vanilla

• ½ tsp salt

• 1 tsp baking soda

• 2 ¼ cups flour

• 1 cup white chocolate chips

• 1 cup Christmas red and green M&Ms

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Cream together shortening, butter, brown sugar, and sugar for about 3 minutes until light and fluffy.

3. Add an egg and vanilla and continue to mix until well combined.

4. Stir in salt and baking soda, then add the flour and stir until just combined. 

5. Mix in the M&Ms and white chocolate chips.

6. Roll the dough into balls about 2 tablespoons each, set them on the prepared baking sheet spaced 3 inches apart (they will spread in the oven), and squish them down slightly. Bake for 11-12 minutes or until set around the edges and lightly brown.

7. Cool on the pan for about 10 minutes. Serve warm or at room temp.
